Advanced Fighting Carbine – Course Description The Advanced Fighting Carbine Course is a combat-focused, high-performance training program designed for experienced shooters who want to push their capabilities with the modern fighting carbine. This course emphasizes speed, accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making in scenarios that replicate real-world, high-stress environments. Course Overview This class moves beyond basic marksmanship and introduces complex shooting problems that demand adaptability and tactical proficiency. Students will work through rapid threat engagements, movement-based shooting, use of cover, transitions to secondary weapons (if permitted), and non-standard firing positions. Every drill is designed to pressure-test both technical skill and tactical judgment. Core Training Components Combat Marksmanship at Speed: Multiple-target arrays, varied distances, controlled pairs, accountability at tempo. Dynamic Movement: Forward, backward, lateral movement, slicing angles, and fighting to/from cover. Non-Standard Positions: Unconventional and improvised shooting platforms to build adaptability. Advanced Manipulation Skills: Speed/economy reloads, malfunction clearance, one-handed carbine operation, and efficient body mechanics. Stress & Cognitive Load Drills: Time-pressure scenarios, target discrimination, problem-solving tasks, and physical stressors. Close to Mid-Range Engagements: Threats from 0–200+ yards, holdovers/offsets, optic management, and rapid transitions. Learning Objectives Participants will learn to: Maintain combat-effective accuracy under pressure Make quick tactical decisions while moving or under stress Manipulate the carbine confidently and efficiently Operate from compromised positions and unfamiliar terrain Apply practical, real-world fighting techniques with discipline and precision Prerequisites This course requires solid, proven carbine fundamentals and safe weapons handling. Prior basic or intermediate carbine/patrol rifle training is required.
